St O'Donnell is a record label turned creative and artist management agency.
I was approached by St O'Donnell as they were transitioning into their new direction to develop a more fitting brand image.
They wanted something that would work across their multiple platforms. It had to represent a company involved in everything from gallery events, pop-up shops, creative talks, brand pitches, and more.
This led me to pitch the idea of a very rough and raw aesthetic using paper textures, ballpoint pen and ink hand-drawn type, accompanied by minimal bold fonts and rough, grainy, imperfect photography.
The concept was that no matter what project or brand they were pitching, everything always begins with an idea. The starting point should always be pen, pencil, paint, or ink on paper. The simplest idea can evolve into something much greater.
The brand ends up reflecting ideas. It represents artists, creators, musicians, and photographers coming together to create something special and unique.
Working closely with the St O'Donnell creators, I managed to develop a striking and unique brand image.
